A purple & plum desert indulgence

3/10/16

This editorial was a dream. From the gorgeous wedding stationary by our girl The Fozzybook, to the styling and beautiful lace plates from the rental inventory of Jessica at Lace in the Desert Styling and not to mention Eugenia from Tulipano who read our minds when it came to the flowers both in terms of variety but also in how she puts together a bouquet. A true artist.

And of course, this shoot came to life with ALL of the talented vendors that were involved – the wedding dress was made from beautiful French lace and it was created especially for us by Beljour. Make-up and hair stylist Diana Mauer used her ever so natural touch to perfect both looks we were going for and the hairpieces from ANAQA worked great with each of these looks.

One of my personal favorites is the location, Al Sahra Desert Resort and Equestrian Centre, it’s just such a stunning venue and the staff are so friendly that I just love coming back here for everything and anything. They do beautiful events and it’s a very raw and humble place to be. Loving everything organic and down to earth, this is my heaven.

If you haven’t yet seen the jewellery designs of Vitrine Design, you’ll be in awe. This jewellery maker based in Dubai just creates stunning pieces. We’re truly blessed to have been able to showcase part of a beautiful collection of handcrafted pieces in this shoot.

This purple and plum indulgence had a bit of Arabia injected into it, which I just loved. With the Persian rugs from the Purple Chair the chairs from Mint Event Rentals, the stationary stamp which had an Arabic inspired pattern and the styling by Jessica from LITD, it really felt good to bring a little bit of Arabia as inspiration to brides wanting to inject a bit of regional flair into their weddings in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Specifically for western bridal couples that might be from elsewhere but have decided to put their roots for the time being in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, and are longing for a wedding here that marries both the cultural aspect with their own roots – why not try to inject a bit of Arabia, but in a subtle way?

Hope you enjoy having a peek through these images, my hope and our hope is that they inspire you and gives you great ideas of what you can do at your wedding.
